Pernahkah terbesit dalam pikiran kita, mengapa langit bewarna biru? Ada yang bilang langit memantulkan warna laut. Benar nggak tuh?<\/h4>\n<p>Bumi kita dikelilingi oleh lapisan atmosfer. Seringkali kita tidak menyadari jika memandang langit artinya sedang memandang atmosfer bumi yang berarti memandang kumpulan udara. Sinar matahari pun saat dipancarkan terdiri dari radiasi dan gelombang elektromagnetik.<\/p>\n<p>Mata manusia hanya bisa melihat spektrum cahaya tampak yaitu cahaya warna merah, jingga, kuning, hijau, biru, nila, dan ungu. Tujuh warna tersebut bergabung menjadi cahaya putih. Saat gerimis, cahaya putih dibiaskan oleh tetesan air menjadi pelangi. Tapi, kenapa langit tidak bewarna ungu? Hal ini karena mata kita lebih dominan menerima warna biru dan memang gelombang warna biru dipancarkan dengan energi lebih besar. Sel peka cahaya yang terdapat di retina mata paling peka terhadap warna merah, hijau, dan biru.<\/p>\n<p>Lalu, saat sore hari kenapa warna langit bewarna merah? Akibatnya cahaya matahari harus melewati atmosfer lebih tebal. Saat itu, gelombang biru lebih dulu terpental ke segala arah, membuat cahaya merah bisa sampai lebih dulu.
