Namun apa sebenarnya double major ini?<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify\">Peserta Clash of Champions Mengambil Jurusan Ganda<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Beberapa minggu ini masyarakat kita ramai dengan salah satu game show logika yang diadakan oleh lembaga bimbingan online.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Bukan tanpa sebab, hal ini karena (CoC) berhasil menampilkan tayangan edukatif yang menarik dan menegangkan. Tak heran jika kemudian ada banyak masyarakat yang tertarik menontonnya.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Tak hanya itu saja, peserta Clash of Champions pun diketahui memiliki prestasi yang luar biasa di bidang akademik.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ada banyak dari peserta CoC yang termasuk dalam kategori mahasiswa berprestasi, pemenang olimpiade, hingga pemegang IPK nyaris sempurna meski mereka berasal dari jurusan serta kampus yang sulit ditembus bahkan mengambil double major.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Sebut saja Xaviera Putri, salah satu peserta Clash of Champions yang berasal dari KAIST (Korean Advanced Institute Science and Technology). Gadis berkerudung ini mengambil jurusan ganda Computer Science dan Business Tech Management.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Lalu ada Sandy dan Axel yang sama-sama berasal dari NUS (National University of Singapore). Keduanya diketahui mengambil double degree untuk jurusan Computer Science dan Mathematics.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify\">Apa Itu Double Major?<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Melihat adanya peserta CoC yang mengambil program perkuliahan ini, apa sebenarnya program jurusan ganda?<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Seperti namanya, double major artinya program di mana seorang mahasiswa mengambil dua jurusan berbeda di suatu kampus tempatnya berkuliah.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Program ini memungkinkan seorang mahasiswa untuk mendalami dua bidang berbeda dalam satu masa perkuliahannya, sama seperti peserta Clash of Champions di atas.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Mahasiswa juga bebas memilih jurusan yang ingin dikombinasikannya, meski pada umumnya jurusan yang diambil biasanya masih berkaitan satu sama lain.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Namun perlu diketahui jika double major ini berbeda dengan double degree (gelar ganda) yang merupakan program di mana seorang mahasiswa berkuliah di jurusan yang sama di dua kampus berbeda.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Menurut sumber, double degree sendiri lebih sulit dijalani, biayanya lebih mahal, dan lama masa perkuliahan juga sedikit lebih lama dibandingkan dengan double major.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Di Indonesia sendiri, istilah jurusan ganda masih asing di kalangan masyarakat. Ini bukan hal yang mengherankan karena program perkuliahan satu ini masih sangat jarang ditemui di kampus-kampus kita.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Maka tak heran hanya peserta Clash of Champions dari kampus luar negeri, seperti KAIST dan NUS yang mengambil program satu ini.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Hal itu berkebalikan dengan double degree yang kini sudah cukup banyak dibuka di beberapa kampus, seperti Universitas Indonesia (UI), Universitas Airlangga, Universitas Brawijaya, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), dan lainnya.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Setelah membaca penjelasan mengenai double major atau jurusan ganda di atas, apakah kamu tertarik untuk mengikuti program perkuliahannya?
